In addition Maha Australia will also be supporting the show’s traditional Careers Centre, which provides information to employers and potential employees within this dynamic industry.

The Apprentice Challenge follows the successful formula of past years to highlight the professionalism of the industry and promote career paths that can be achieved when someone starts out in a heavy vehicle mechanical apprenticeship.

The Apprentice Challenge is a ‘hands on’ practical test where teams of apprentices challenge teams of high profile contestants including industry members, personalities, media or the general public.... to rectify identical faults in identical vehicles within a defined time period. For each day of the show the winning team is the team that first successfully identifies and repairs all faults or rectifies the most faults within the allowed time frame.

‘The Industry Career Centre’ brings together stakeholders involved in the workforce development of the commercial vehicle industry. The goal of the centre is to promote the commercial vehicle industry and the opportunities that exist within the industry to employers, employees and potential entrants into the industry by providing information on the apprentice system, training delivery, training content, career opportunities and government assistance.

On behalf of the team at Maha Australia, we look forward to meeting you during the four days of the Brisbane Truck Show in May either on our stand, or at the Careers Centre or the daily running of the Apprentice Challenge.
