The Caltex Truck & Trailer Showcase staged at Little Stanley Street featured an impressive array of innovations, from the latest EVs to specialised transporters and revolutionary high-productivity trailers
The South Bank Truck Festival lit up Little Stanley Street and the surrounding Parklands during this year’s show with a display of the best innovations the industry has to offer.
The Caltex Truck & Trailer Showcase featured around 24 trucks and trailers, from the latest EV to specialised transporters and revolutionary high-productivity trailers.
Highlights included Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds’ striking DAF LF ‘Road Show’ truck and Heart of Australia ‘HEART 4’ mobile health clinic, to O’Phee Trailers’ ‘London’ Super B-double SKEL trailer capable of carrying eight 20-foot containers or four 40-foot containers double stacked in a single journey.
What’s more, the all-new ‘Electric Avenue’ showcased the latest zero-emissions vehicles from the likes of Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, Fuso, Hino, SEA , Janus and Foton.
Alongside these were the safest and most technologically and environmentally advanced diesel-powered trucks including the MAN TGS, Western Star Trucks 48X, Iveco S-Way, Freightliner Cascadia 126, Mercedes-Benz Actros 2653 LS and UD Quon CG 30 360 8×4.
The impressive display was complemented by free family concerts on the Friday and Saturday nights, the build of a full-scale Mack Anthem from LEGO, and South Bank’s amazing array of cafes, bars and restaurants.
